Simply Summer is a product of our love and friendship. Before diving into this adventure, here is where it all began.

Founded in 2024 — yes, we may be new to the business scene, yet we have already sold thousands of lip treatments. Our journey began in 2019 with a humble R3 000 investment, leading us through a path of experimentation, resilience and hard work. We started and closed three businesses before birthing our baby, Simply Summer. It is not easy being young and learning about business when you have no guidance.

We are from a small town in Durban — specifically Phoenix — and were raised in humble households. With a friendship spanning a decade as our foundation, we honed the business plan, pinpointed our market and chose to develop our own brand rather than import one. With a background in cosmetic chemistry, we tailor-made our product for the amazing women of South Africa and formulated our perfect lip treatment.

Our initial release of 500 units sold out within the day of launch. We scaled production to over 5 000 units and moved into our first mini warehouse space in Umhlanga, where we still hand-make, fill and dispatch every order.
